Borrowed dreams

Sadly, children dream through their parents’ eyes, Chasing shadows dressed as sunrise. They try so hard to prove them true, Yet the burden feels heavier than they ever knew. Carrying those dreams bends their shoulders low, Calling them their own makes the burden grow. If it was hard for parents, it is harder for their child, Forced into a race they never styled. A trophy to show, a name to display, Yet their own dreams are somewhere brushed away. Amita Joshi

Where do I pour the entirety of her love? This whole world is just not enough... Where do I treasure her grace, When my perplexity is written on my face?
